Scripture Readings:

• OT. Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my Salvation whom shall I fear the Lord is the strength of my life of whom shall I be afraid.
• NT. Philippians 4:6-7  – 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

David encourages us through this Psalm to have an unshakable confidence in our God when surrounded by darkness. First, he reminds us of the truth that God is light. Remember light banish the darkness.

Darkness often evokes fear, and uncertainty but with God as our light we do not have to fear. Our present situation seems dark indeed, many are fearing the future but be encouraged, God is not only the light to lighten our dark places, He is our Salvation, the one who saves us from all our fears. The Hebrew word for Salvation means ‘deliverance’.

The one thing that is most prevalent than Coronavirus is fear. Man’s heart is literally and physically failing because they have become so fearful. One of the enemy’s weapon is fear.

Our God has given us instructions, ‘fear not’.

Don’t be anxious for nothing Philippians 4:6.  Keep praying and trusting God.

Be still and know that I am God, He said. Ps 46:10

No harm shall overcome you. Psalm 91:10

‘So do not fear for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will Strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my right hand’. Isaiah 41:10

As God gave His people instructions to put the blood of the Lamb on the doorpost and stay behind that door until the death Angel pass, let us be obedient, trust His words and he will deliver us. This is His promise to us. He is our light and salvation. We have nothing to fear. He is our Strength and shield like no other, He is our Healer and Physician who has the vaccine for Coronavirus and for all the sins and problems of this world.

Let us continue to look to him for he alone will cause all things to come to pass.

God Bless you, keep praying for the healing of our world, our leaders and families as we navigate our way through this difficult time.

Amen
